New Prunus ‘Kojo No Mai'New, from Fleming’s Nurseries is the elegant, small-growing, spring flowering cherry, Prunus incisa ‘Kojo No Mai’.
This attractive small tree or shrub is ideal for small gardens or container planting. It offers year round interest with slightly contorted ‘zig-zagged’, branches. Pretty red-pink buds form on the ‘points’ of the branches and burst into dainty white flowers smothering the tree. During autumn, the serrated, green, summer foliage changes to yellow, orange and burgundy.
Prunus ‘Kojo No Mai’ grows best in a well-drained, moderately fertile, soil in full sun and once established has some drought tolerance.
Growing to about 2 metres, this unusual, pretty flowering cherry would suit patios, courtyards, small gardens and containers. Makes an ideal gift.

New from OCP - eco-360 sprayerUp to now trigger sprayers have only allowed the user to spray the top surface of leaves. Most of the products in our range require direct contact with the leaf surface or insects themselves so a sprayer that allows both sides of the leaf surface to be sprayed at once was needed. The exciting solution we’ve discovered is the eco-360 sprayer. The eco-360 sprayer is a 1L trigger sprayer that has a nozzle which rotates 360 degrees while the bottle remains upright. So the underside of leaves can be sprayed without any hassle! The eco-360 will make misting hanging baskets easy and allow spray to penetrate those hard-to-reach places.

New Defender MaxGuard from ScottsDefender MaxGuard is a ready to use, systemic insecticide with a triple action effect. It knocks down pests on spraying, it remains on the leaf surface to provide residual control and is taken up by the plants to kill insects as they attack. Trials showed that MaxGuard was still effective against Azalea Lace Bug 143 days after application.
Defender MaxGuard formulation has a very low toxicity to mammals and is not classified as a poison. It is also friendlier to many species of beneficial insects than other broad-spectrum insecticides. It may be applied safely to indoor and outdoor plants to control damaging insects.
